Customer Rating: Summary: Robyn's return after storming with the SB is as good as ever Comment: Very few artists can handle an all-acoustic album as well as Robyn, and this, his third following "I OFTEN DREAM OF TRAINS" & the majestic "EYE" does not disappoint 'though it takes a few listens to get into it. "ONE L", "MARIA LYN" and "YOU REMIND ME OF YOU" stand out of the bunch but the rest is a treasure. A must for all of you bulbheaded fans!
Customer Rating: Summary: The Quiet Man Comment: A sequel of sorts to previous accoustic solo albums "I often Dream of Trains", "Eye" and "Mossy Liquor", "Luxor" is a work of quiet, but great beauty. This is not music for daytime listening; the songs bask gently in your room, like delicate, nocturnal butterflies; sunlight would hurt them. The influence from Bob Dylan on Robyn Hitchcock, who recently turned 50, is stronger than ever; a song like "You Remind Me Of You" - one of the highlights - wouldn't feel that much out of place on "Time Out Of Mind". Other highlights: "Keep Finding Me", "The Round Song", "Idonia" and the wounderful instrumental "The Wolf House". This artist has aged with grace.
