Summary: Fiction and Fact in Excellent Mix
Comment: Continuing story of the life of Ramses the Great. Mixes historical fact and fiction using or contriving to use what we know (or can guess at) of the Ancient Egyptian way of Royal life. As good as the other book that I have read in this series.

Summary: A tremendous read
Comment: I have read all five of the "Ramses" series of books and I have been thoroughly engrossed with the whole series. The story has continued with each new book in the series and I would thoroughly recommend this book to anyone.

Summary: A good airplane read
Comment: I wish this series was available in the states, too. I picked my copy up in the airport shop in Zurich. It kept me interested for most of the flight back to Atlanta. This was the first book I'd read in this series. Thankfully, it was self-contained enough that I didn't have any problems following the storyline.

Summary: Oh, quiet, you.
Comment: Why I liked it? I don't know, but the mixture of history and myth was done very skillfully. I actually found all of the repetition of things from previous books to be very helpful since this was the first one in the series I read. (I did read "Battle of Kadesh" later). The translation left something to be desired though. I'm rather annoyed that I can't find the rest of the series in the States; I picked up #3 and 4 in Hong Kong, British spelling and all. I'll never get used to it.
